Call for applications: Promoting Women's ESC rights through the UPR!

UPR Info is pleased to announce a call for proposals for two grants to improve the conditions of women and promote their economic, social and cultural rights (ESC rights).

The aim of this call is to support local CSOs, associations and NGOs in the implementation of the UPR recommendations on women's ESC rights in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Liberia and Senegal.

Two grants will be assigned under this call. The size of each grant is 10,000 CHF (approximately USD 10,800 depending on the exchange rate used).

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a civil society organization;
  • Be formally registered in one of the four target countries of this call (the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Liberia and Senegal) ;
  • Be able to manage project support through reliable accounting and auditing of the project in accordance with national laws ;
  • Be able to provide evidence of experience in the field of the call for proposals and a vision that corresponds to the objectives of the call.

The application can be submitted in English or French. Please note that applicants must upload the organization's registration certificate, concept note and detailed budget in the online form.  Applications submitted by e-mail or other means will not be considered.

The deadline for submission of applications is Monday, September 21 2021.

UPR Info’s funding for this proposal is supported by the German Federal Office of Foreign Affairs. The evaluation of the proposals will be carried out by UPR Info.
